Tsunami Remembrance


We are still in awe at the destructive tsunami that hit Japan a year ago. This composite picture gives some idea of the power of the earthquake and the tsunami that followed. Our hearts go out to our Japanese friends for all the sadness they endured and still endure today:
This tsunami was triggered by one of the strongest earthquakes in recent times, measuring 9.0 on the Richter Scale. This scale was blogged earlier and is a reminder of the importance of using logarithms in the calculation of widely differing data sets.
